Adobe premiere pro will not play anything. sequences won't play, clips won't play,merged clips won't play, multi cam sequences won't play. You hit play and the play button changes to a stop button, but nothing happens. I tried logging in as root but it won't play there either.
it is something really simple, but that made no sense.
Audio Hardware prefs had been set to System Default Input/Output. Switching to Built-in Output fixed it.
No idea why audio hardware settings would keep picture from playing back, but there you have it. Thanks to the helpful Adobe Phone tech support.
